Weddings at Wildwood Family Farms
Wildwood Family Farms is a premier wedding venue located in Alto, Michigan, which is about 30 minutes southeast of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our beautiful farm and property is situated on eight acres of spacious land for your use, offering a fully-restored and historic 1890’s barn, and facilities that include state of the art bathrooms and a holding kitchen for catering purposes. In addition, we have a brand new carriage house that was finished in Spring 2021!
For barn weddings, there are several other ceremony and reception options in addition to the primary wedding barn. We are so thankful to have been recognized as one of the top local options for outdoor wedding venues too! So take your celebration outside and get married by the pond, set up a tent on the lawn, have your wedding ceremony in the woods, or get married under the stars. The sky is the limit when it comes to making your day special. We promise your day will be one to remember. Renting our facility means that you have the flexibility to create your own special day or event with few restrictions. We encourage guests to put their signature touch on their event. The Upper Barn
Built in 1893, our barn has been restored to preserve the integrity of the space, including the 19th century post and beam construction. The upper barn can be used the whole season from March through December. Large sliding doors open to the rear allowing events to receive a beautiful view of the gardens and ponds out back. The front french doors give a breathtaking view of western sunsets over the fields.

The Carriage House
A modern farmhouse style venue space. Clean white lines with black wood, and warm metal accents offer a blank canvas ready to be molded to any type of event.
2,800 Square Feet (56x27 and 12x56 on each covered patio)
4, 8’ clear glass garage doors and 4, 6’ french doors open on to covered patios.

The Basement Parlor
The basement of the barn was remodeled in 2014 to allow for heated, indoor ceremonies and additional event space for cocktail hour or private parties. We've worked hard to represent the true authenticity of the barn by refinishing the original block walls and cement floors along with whitewashing the barn beams to enhance the natural light of the space

The Silo Courtyard
The courtyard is located just off the lower barn. It features a large lower and upper cement patio and vine covered arbors, which lead to an adjacent grassy lawn and fire pit. The courtyard is perfect for an intimate wedding ceremony, ideal for appetizers, drinks, and yard games, and just the right size for a large reception tent.

The Gardens
We grow and sell over 150 different varieties of flowers, plants, succulents, and trees here at Wildwood. The center of the Dahlia Garden is a beautiful ceremony option, or you might consider roaming through the rows of wildflowers for an evening stroll. Photographers love using the gardens as a backdrop for your pictures & the Oak Tree makes a quaint ceremony option.

The Pond & Woods
The pond is a quiet walk away from the upper barn. Ideal for an outdoor wedding ceremony (it's our most popular choice!) The entrance to the wooded ceremony site makes for very private tree covered ceremony or photo backdrop option.
